Edward Noott was born in 1965 and took a Foundation Course at the Cheltenham College of Art. He later studied at Trent Polytechnic College of Art, where he gained a B.A. – Fine Art Degree Course, and later attended the State University of New York, Oneonta, N.Y.

Edward Noott has exhibited at the Royal Institute of Painters in Oils, the Royal Birmingham Society of Painters (where he is an elected Member), Royal West of England Academy and the Laing Art Gallery, Newcastle upon Tyne.

The son of John Noott an art dealer from the Cotswolds, one-man exhibitions have been held at the galleries in Broadway annually since 1993, together with solo exhibitions in London and the provinces plus many exhibitions in the United States of America.

He is the recipient of many awards and prizes including the Royal West of England Academy Purchase Prize (purchased by the University of Wales for their permanent collection).
