Edo Kaaij is a contemporary Dutch painter whose work merges abstraction and figuration to create expressive, layered portraits that explore the human face. Represented by Lambert Fine Art, Kaaij is celebrated for paintings that balance realism, texture and emotion.

Working primarily with a palette knife, Edo Kaaij builds richly textured surfaces through warm, subdued tones and thick impasto, allowing figures to emerge and dissolve through fields of colour. Born into an artistic family and influenced by his grandfather, Cornelis Kaaij, Edo Kaaij has exhibited widely across Europe and internationally at events including Art Karlsruhe and Contemporary Istanbul.
